This is a Beginner Friendly course on AutoDesk Fusion360, ideal for anyone who
has never used Fusion360 and desires to begin using it with proficiency.
Experience in other drawing, 3D modeling or CAD Software is helpful, but is
definitely NOT required!
Fusion360 is a powerful suite of CAD Modeling software that offers FREE lifetime
licenses to small businesses under $100k in revenue or hobbyists and students
using it for non-commercial / educational purposes.

In this class you will learn how to operate a Stratasys brand Objet30 Prime 3D printer. This printer offers a wealth of exciting materials and printing resolution as low as 16 microns!
What’s next after FDM, plastic layer deposit 3D printers? How about a next-level, professional quality 3D printer? This class will teach you how to safely and smartly use Hexlab’s Stratsys Objet 3D printer. With this printer small, detailed projects like jewelery and machine parts become possible. It prints over 10x the resolution of a desktop FDM ad solves many of the setup issues that plague even top end FDM printers. Of course, the machine and the materials it uses are much more expensive, so this class will cover how to set up your work piece with as little waste as possible.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Enter the world of an exciting new technology with implications that will change manufacturing forever. Similar to a 2d paper printer, a 3d printer can take a file from your computer made using CAD software and extrude layers of molten plastic to create an actual physical object based on your design. Use 3D printers to prototype physical parts cheaply before having them mass produced, make one off designs as tools or art, create negatives to cast a mold, or design cool figurines as decorations.
Don't know how to create 3D designs? Don't worry! There are thousands of designs uploaded to popular websites for free that you can browse through, or you can take one of our Fusion 360 CAD classes to gain useful 3D modelling skills.

If you have a specific file you would like to start out with please bring it in on an SD card, our printers can only use the .STL format.

About this Event
Whether you’re mending a pair of pants, creating a stuffed animal, or designing a new wardrobe, sewing skills are important! At the Hexlab, we’ve got resources for the newest sewers to older experts—and fun ways to incorporate sewing into your projects.This class is intended to introduce you to the world of sewing and constructing a garment on a sewing machine. Students with little to no sewing experience will benefit from this class. Students will learn how to use a pattern, lay the pattern on the fabric, measure, sew, use basic sewing tools, press and thread the sewing machine and construct a wearable garment.The sewing class is divided into 3 classes with assisted training. We suggest you RSVP before each class. You will be able to use the home sewing machine independently after Sewing I and will be ready to move onto learning other machines if you attend Sewing II
